We haven't done anything since we built our outbuilding, we have just let it go to wild

the base is breaking down and mosses are starting to grow

it has to be wind resistant though, the wind really howls through the house and the building, it needs to have a shallow root network as well, we only have about 8 inches of soil on there

what should I plant?
