My best advice is to start small and plant things that you really love to eat. Focus on building one awesome garden that can be effortless next year then add on each year

1. stagger your plantings by 2-3 weeks of varieties (eg. lettuce, carrots, beetroot etc.) so that it's not feast or famine with the veg

2. work in plenty of well rotted manure to give the plants the best start possible

3. one of the most important things would be to get a notepad and start a journal of what you have planted and what went well and what didn't do so well, that way also you can start to practice crop rotation (not planting the same veg family the same place 2 years in a row)

hope they help Laugh

Start with good soil, and feed the soil, not the plants.

Source your seeds/seedlings locally if possible.  You will be getting plants that have a proven track record in the conditions they are most likely to experience.

Understand and utilize companion planting.

Think vertical to make the best use of space.
