for me right now its Joy of Cooking.

but , I was looking up something really common and obvious like chocolate chip cookies or something and it wasnt in there! suffice to say im looking for another all around book. any suggestions?

not necessarily my goto book or an everyday food book but i got The Art of Living According to Joe Beef for Xmas and i love it.

It's the book from a well known restaurant here in Montreal. Not only a recipe book, but has also good info, lots of great food porn, history of the restaurant, it's neighborhood and Montreal

Jo Beef eh, sounds like my kind of chef. that better homes book 20 bucks on amazon and wow is there alot of book porn there re: homesteading . my cart has filled up quite full.
