Some really good advice there.
I think the biggest thing that helped me knock out my wall o debt was the mentality of truly assessing what is a want vs. a need coupled with the desire to spend more of my time doing what I want, which is not slaving away in the office.
I was paying down my debt steadily for a year or so and then I got this itch to just have it gone. Before that I would have said I was making great progress but I was able to increase by several times over my monthly debt reduction.
The tips in this article are great, however I think it very important to have an underlying mentality that allows you to look at all transactions you are making and and weight them against your debt reduction goals.
Realize that debt is toxic, pick your few things in life that a truly important and make you happy, reduce there, but keep up those things if possible, and then just crush everything else and put that money towards debt reduction. Be free!
