We've been shifting strategy a bit lately and instead of looking for just land we've been looking for older/run down homes on acreages that we could reno, make energy efficient, and maybe add an addition to. Since all permits/infrastructure is already in place putting the cash into a reno won't be so bad.
A lot of older homes had dug wells. I've done a bit of reading but would love to hear if anyone has first knowledge on what to look for, cons, etc, etc.
