Be careful with your generators everyone | General Homesteading Discussion | Forums

Just found out that an old-friend and co-worker of mine, his wife, and 4 children all under the age of 11 were killed because they were running a generator in the basement after the high winds knocked out their power the other night. Here's the story. 

If you are running a generator, be smart; keep it outside. Len was a smart guy and was good with engines; he knew  this... He and I worked as Tool Techs in the Tool Rental at the local Home Depot back in the day and spent a lot of time working on machines together.  I am sure he just forgot safety in the rush to get some power back on in the house for his kids. Be safe out there everyone; the world has lost a great family needlessly.
