Been busy building another company and restructuring 3 other companies for others.

Still go by the urban farm we built a couple of times a week to hang out with Hans the potbellied. Damn what a great pig.

Just finishing up the paperwork for a weather balloon launch in the new year.

Got most the materials from that American Science place that KVR mentioned.

So much BS going through commercial air space.

I agree with Hessian, the whole world is broken. People all over are facing the same concerns we are. We have several members here from around the world, France, Sweden, Thailand, Japan, UK, Australia. Our members from France have a survival website that Vapor and I had joined and I found it interesting with the help of google translator reading through their threads, they are very concerned with the state of the European Union and what is happening in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland.

My wife and I watched The Walking Dead last night and now she's finally convinced that we need to start prepping for a disaster. Been wondering about the expat thing myself.

Where could we live on $450 per month?

Na, I just want to get some footage with HD go pros, only trying for 70000 feet.

Air space is rather small and full here.

Nader I think it more has to do with what conditions you MUST have for living.

For instance I pay 250 US w/utilities for the urban farm a month. The 2 bdrm house on the property is not fancy in North American terms but has all of the things for living. A/C, internet, land phone line and such all for $250 is rather cheap.

I would say if I skimped on living expenses and did not worry about having income my family of three could live off of 500 US a month.

Well, that would be no private school and no bikes or vehicles. Although we would still eat very very well.

No use in moving somewhere different and doing things the same old ways though.

To be honest there is nothing I like more then hanging out with the true Tico locals (who dress better then I do) and just hanging out trying to not think like a Capitalist. Since after all it is very few people who think business at any time down here. Somewhat relaxing watching your animals eat and sitting around watching things grow.

Lowered expectations is what I could call the last twenty years.

Or if you find your niche and work like a North American you could do very well.

I imagine anything over 3-4k monthly income would get you into the top 5% here.

I have an aquaintence who's in Thailand/Cambodia for the last couple of years. Not sure of his agenda, but he seems to love it and hates coming back to the States.

i would for sure go to central or south america. Friendly small towns, cheap living, etc.

I visited both Costa Rica and Brazil and wouldn't mind moving to a small coastal town in either of the two.
