Watched is about a week ago. Pretty crazy, and frustrating. And yes, Joel Salatin is in EVERY food themed US documentary.
The film does a great job of highlighting the blatantly obvious and protectionist corruption in the food system. I wonder if the truth were more front and center in people lives there would be a lot more resistance to it. Most of the problems created by the gov't for small scale farmers happen in rural setting away from the eyes of the vast majority of the population. I would hope that if more people actually saw the issues surrounding real food, instead of a perfectly lined up supermarket isle this sort of thing could not stand.
agreed, people have a right to the food they want, one of the people interviewed had a great statement, people have the right to buy processed junk food that is bad for them, that's fine, they should have the right, I should also have the right to buy food I believe is better for me, here is a interview from coast to coast, have to forward through a little bit
