Hey Roli, what part of AR are you looking at?
My folks lived right on the border of MO/AR for years and I really liked it down there. Also my grandparents lived in Hot Springs for a long time as well.
Areas like the Buffalo River and the North Fork of the White, Current, Jacks Fork, and Eleven Point in MO are some of my favorite places when I am down there. But I might be biased because I like paddling and fishing for trout and smallies.
I have looked into picking up a couple acres and building a cabin down there for some time now.

You are right. Land is very cheap unless its river front on something like the White and then it's still pretty comparable to other areas of the country and maybe even a little cheaper still.

For example. 10 Acres for 10,000. Looks mostly wooded as well.

I'm in LR. I love north Arkansas but I want a SHTF cabin that I can commute from. When I'm done fighting which may be in just a few years I want to be able to commute from my homestead. Land in Northern Arkansas is SO cheap. I'm looking in Cabot about 45 minutes from Heber springs heading towards LR. Love trout fishing too
