ok the detergent sat for 24 hours. I mixed it well, then split it into 2 buckets and fill both back to the top with hot water.

we filled every bottle we had in the house and in the recycle bin and still have almost 6 gallons still in buckets.....plan ahead!

First load was set to large and was a load of towels with cold water using 1 cup of detergent

......to be continued

ok 3 loads done...first load used 1 cup per super large load. clothes clean but not really a noticeable smell.

2nd and 3rd load used 1 1/4 cup and got that yummy chemical fake fruit smell we all love!

Tomorrow will be the real test. I will be wearing and sweating in the clothes we washed.

very happy so far and can't wait to share with friends and family

Rhino, how did the soap hold up against your filthy sweat?

Saw this on Pinterest.

Same mix, they apparently just keep it dry....would it dissolve that quick? If so I would go this route over the liquid any day.

I read somewhere you can microwave the bar soap, it cooks the moisture out of it and leaves powdered soap behind

Having it dry takes like half the work out of it and would allow for much easier storage. You could just vacuum seal it.
