nice article from Jackie Clay on some different concerns, my wife and I are actually going through a little of this right now, seems we have been doing construction for over 10 years and we just want it finished so we can just enjoy what we have built instead of feeling like we are on a deadline

Good article....My adventure started with a tomato plant and into a couple of large garden beds, however, eventually plan to move into something bigger.
I've thought about trying to start up a coop-education program tied to a local school where we could do internships/shared labor in exchange for land, water & work with a "local farmer." That way you could build a good community of support over time.
Still need the property though, but we're saving up for it.
