hmmm...i have no idea what any of that means.

here in southern california. our average gas bill is 55 bucks. for the months of november, december and january it usually hovers around 65-70 bucks. then it warms back up late february early march and everything is back to normal.

our A/C drives up our bill in august/september when it warms up/drys out because of the santa ana winds. we normally see an increase of 50-75 dollars from july-september. with our average electrical bill right around 175-200.

I think we are up about around 20% over last year, however we yet to get a bill since the cold really settled in.

We also moved the away/home furnace settings down a couple degrees to lessen our bills.

The house was electric heat when we bought it, however we converted it to forced air gas before the first winter.

I almost cry when I think of heating this inefficient home with electricity like they did for the last 40 or so years.

Before we bought this house my gf and I shared a one bedroom + den apartment that was electric heat. With only one outside exposed wall, and in that small apartment, we had bills over $200 a month, and it was not warm in there by any means.

Our house is on the small side, but I am sure we would be looking at $400 to $500 a month to heat this place with electricity.
