first year with insulation on all of the house, so its better I think so far we have went through a full chord ( maybe a bit less , i'm estimating) of poplar / aspen / bit of hickory. Storm windows and insulation skirting/umbrella next. To be honest though our temperatures are probably much lower then others. We wake in the morning to air temp of 52-54 most mornings . Fire gets it up into low to high 60's. If we are not go0ing to be in the house we just let it sit with no fire that day. Sunny days can easily get up to 58 by itself if outside air is around midish-h teens. We are def going to install storm windows though. The umbrella/skirting/insulation/rubbber membrane layer is not done and will be done over summer and that should help a great deal. Its nice reading others to get an idea how we are doing.
Edit to add I should add..upstate ny. Temps have been -15 lowest so far this winter...its 10 out this morning and 53 inside temp and 75% humidity.
