Quebec is notorious for major theft like this. Their love of heavy machinery makes their love of food heists look like nothing.
A few years ago the world cup downhill mountain bike circuit was at Mont. St. Anne. Some of the teams ship their full on big rigs, custom everything with complete sponsorship wraps over the entire rig, over from Europe. One did not make it back as in the middle of the night somebody drove off with it, probably put it on a ship, and off it went. It is crazy that stuff like this is fairly common.
