When we purchased the land almost 16 years ago the house was included with the land. We bought for the land which we got for $500 and acre. Can't beat that but the house was an earth contact home that was very badly built in the 70's. We gutted and used the existing concrete basement which was in great shape and built from there. Lots of drainage is the key to these earth contact homes and a good termite man : )
agreed, I think we have 4 different layers on our home, have never had a issue
