That's fancy. I haven't seen many ES's in my price range.

I ran across one of these on CL for a decent price... just out of my price range but it probably sold last night. I didn't know they made these. Polaris ATV with a dump truck bed on the back, solid axle, and differential modes for driving on grass and not tearing up the yard. Sounds perfect but I don't think I can swing the extra $$. I think I will end up going with the Honda I found if it is still available and maybe a larger rack on the back.

I didn't end up getting anything. I had a guy commit to buying the tractor over the phone with "I trust your word, we have a deal" and then he called me the night before he was coming to pick it up calling off the deal because he bought something else. I stopped trying to sell it at that point -- I think it was divinely inspired that I keep the tractor.

I put chains on her last week and she has so far been a beast in the snow. The downside is that I have to keep pushing the snow back on the road so it doesn't get too narrow -- with a plow truck or ATV I think the blade would be bigger and I would be going faster so it would roll off the blade and further back off the road.

Pork, those little Fords are pretty handy; probably not a bad decision to keep it around. I'd say you made a wise decision keeping it.

Thanks for the encouragement. In a perfect world I would keep this and get something else but we do everything debt free so I work with what I've got!

Indeed; debt free is the way to go. Then again, in a perfect world the carb wouldn't have just gone out last night on my little plow tractor either. [sad trumpets]

OK, this is raised from the dead. I put the tractor up on CL now that the snow should start winding down here in the next few weeks. Ironically I got tons of responses, but focused in on a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 3.0 automatic. It surprisingly has no body rust (some on the tailgate), topper, and a lot of good maintenance work, but high miles. I would need to source a plow. I am going to bite -- deal should be done by next weekend. I will post pics when everything is done.

The tractor has some issues going on that I don't want to deal with and the truck will allow me to go pick up materials, move items around on the land, bring back firewood, etc. I am really looking forward to having a truck. K -- do you have bumper stickers?
