Truck deal is going down tomorrow. I thought you were giving me a hard time about the bumper stickers. Whoops!

I can't wait to have a truck. I think it will be so awesome to be able to throw stuff in the back and cart it around the land. Or pick up large materials and a) not have to load up the minivan 2) not have to transfer said materials from the minivan to the tractor and iii) be able to just drive right out to the barn, field, etc.

I don't think I ever told this to you guys but prior to my economy car purchase when we moved out to the land I found at a dealership a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab 4x2 5 speed 4 cylinder with 60k miles for $4,500. Such a thing does not exist up here. I was loving it (despite the PO being a heavy smoker) but only had it for maybe 2 weeks. Turns out the frame was rotted from rust and the PO never took it to Toyota to have the frame replaced under warranty. I was screwed and Toyota would not cover it -- and the dealership sold it knowing these problems but not disclosing them. I contacted the President and GM of the dealership and told them that I had records that of a local Toyota dealership telling them it was unsafe and them selling it anyway. They gave me the money back same day and drove 1.5 hours to pick the truck up from my house.

The minivan needs a rest. She has ~160k miles and is still going strong.

I already have work planned for the Ranger. We will see if the weather holds up and allows me to put it to some use out in our meadow.
