my wife is actually excited about making this next week. Leaning more toward a 3 gallon tub to store it than glass bottles.

Ive heard mixed reviews about oxyclean for septic. If you're OK with it then you can sub Oxyclean for the oxygenated bleach. In the comments of the article, they recommended using the dollar store brand instead of Oxyclean to save on price. I guess whatever product you use will need to be researched ahead of time. I think the rest of the products in the ingredient list are safe for septic, it's just the oxygenated bleach/oxyclean item I would be worried about. My brother's a plumber with some septic experience, I'll see if I can get an answer from him.
