I got about 20% of what we need to put up cut, with any luck I'll get the tether(sp?) running and get it kicked today. Then get some of the drier stuff baled.
tedder.
we are getting some rain today, but if it clears and gets sunny again it will be ok.
it will be an intersting experiment not being able to bale it. We are stacking it loose in the barn. It remind me of the Little House on the Prarie story of when they put up hay int he barn and it was the kids job to jump on it to compact it.
With the fibers being long, it is really easy to make a small roll with the pitch fork. Mini round bales. I'm curious to see how it will be, moving it from one area to another.

Unfortunately, due to the equipment issues, we missed the window. We will try to get what is down dry enough to get into the barn, but we are now getting cool days and cold nights. I think we will do just a small amount at a time. I'm feeling a bit frustrated.

500 bales. Today was great. A friend came with his baler, and we got up everything that was on the ground and everything that was loose in the barn into bales. We got about a quarter of what we need. Danger has been awesome. He got really good with the tractor. Cutting, kicking, I'm not sure if he raked, but his effort made this happen! Some good friends came out to help too!
I'll post pics soon
