mason jars are perfect for cocktails. Instead of have in shaker and a glass to wash, you shake it and drink it in the same container.

There is a bar in montreal that serves their cocktails in mason jars. It is a pretty popular place. Used to be popular among the hipster crowd but not anymore...

mason jars are so useful, funny in the drug store today theyre marketing a "redneck thermos" just a mason jar with a plastic straw hole puntured in the lid for 10 dollars or something.
