So, after going through a divorce and my son moving out I find that I am homesteading alone. I do have a friend who status when I have to go on the road and she helps out a bit but I am really pretty much on my own.
Having no working large equipment I do everything with a shovel and buckets and a hand cart.
My first priority is caring for my horses and growing food.
I am having to accept that the wilderness is taking over the place except for the small area Around my house.
The majority of my time is taken up in paying my mortgage.
I find myself rather frustrated sometimes lately because my "BIG DREAMS" are on hold.
But I also feel very good about the simplicity of my life.
Is there anyone else who is doing it alone?

is your sister still thinking of moving in with you?
In maybe two years. She has a good job and wants to build up more retirement.
Right now she is living in a house I own in PA. She is working on it and making it nice so that when she does move I can either rent it or sell it.
Long term plan!

I am spotted. I hope one day that will change for me, but for now, I too am solo.
Is like to hear more about you and how you are doing things. Your challenges and successes.
Arkansas can be pretty rugged.

I've been documenting just about everything here at the forum as I go. My Math Help thread is most current and shows many of the hows and the challenges. Its mostly technical, and likely rather dull, but that is the reality of what I need to do right now. I have nothing established yet aside from owning raw undeveloped land right now. I do not even live on the property yet. For me, everything is still in its infancy. My introductory thread discusses my aspirations. All you inquire about is already in my various threads, and anything which isn't, ask me.

My house is in Glen Rock. Maybe I can come up there when you are visiting pa and we could meet
that should be very doable, trying to figure out when my wife is going down for a visit, my daughter wants to go, so it looks like will be driving them down and picking them back up 2 weeks later
