much bigger and heavier than expected, hope to get it installed this weekend, the only thing that stinks is the weather has been crazy warm, so I am not going to be able to test it for awhile

Awesome, looking forward to seeing this in action. Did not know it was a thing, but I am excited about it now that I know. Seems almost like a must have.

Looks awesome; keep us informed when you get around to testing it out.

Looks awesome. Every time I flip through the Lehman's catalog wonder when you're gonna get this thing. Good luck with it!

lol, yeah, been eye balling this for awhile, it's pricey, with shipping was just over 600, but compared to the other options out there for baking woodstoves, the cheapest I had found was the one for 3000 on Lehmans, we only paid 599 for our woodstove at Lowes, so for around 1200 dollars total, we have a baking oven. I would think it will also help with heating as well, with the increased surface area. My only concern is how much I have to stoke the fire in the woodstove to bring the oven up to proper temp.

so we finally installed it today

we started by pulling out our existing pipe

10276029674_8e26a52beb_c.jpg

we replaced it with a 12 inch pipe and measured our clearing, lol, my GSD "soon"

10276045884_27942c8d06_c.jpg

we pulled the 12 inch and installed it onto the bottom of the oven

10279841675_077608b3e3_c.jpg

I decided to check the stove pipe for creosote, good thing I did (to be honest, this really isn't that bad, we haven't cleaned the pipe in 4 years since we installed it, better to be safe than sorry though)

10276034135_5d412db1f6_c.jpg

so I stuck a towel under the stove pipe

10280001406_21614d7ec5_c.jpg

and I hopped up onto the roof

10280003816_1fcba007c7_c.jpg

and quickly realized I had the wrong screw driver, so I hollered down to my father and as I was waiting, I decided to take a panoramic (click to make bigger)

10280007236_cdda3b3c56_h.jpg

anyways, back to our story, so I unscrewed the rain cap

10279917224_7761a3cfa9_c.jpg

pfft, nasty stuff

10280029015_5cb6927182_c.jpg

I grabbed my brushes

10280030435_11b8f97b38_c.jpg

and proceeded to relive my dreams of starring in a live version of Mary Poppins,

chim-chimminy-chim-chimminy-chim-chimminy-sweep!

10280031825_5a325e2903_c.jpg

anyways, back to our story, I re-installed the rain cap

10280034185_49b1aa64ba_c.jpg

and hopped off the roof and checked what we got out of the stove pipe

10280018866_99bdf261b9_c.jpg

I pushed the thermostat through the side

10279774534_e0994d7bf5_c.jpg

2 snap rings hold it in

10279895834_40d430bf40_c.jpg

we then used sheet metal screws and screwed the pipe to the oven

10279898624_5067190f10_c.jpg

10280020166_2243e18058_c.jpg

and screwed the sliding pipe that ties the chimney to the 12 inch pipe sticking out of the top of the oven

10280038355_6ed3ac51b4_c.jpg

the oven has a built in clean out on each side and the back

10279904574_70cbc7deef_c.jpg

10280016985_d44879cf72_c.jpg

and it was installed

so to fire it up, you need to keep the control arm in a vertical position

10281117605_dc65beaa39_c.jpg

once the fire is going, close it to horizontal, this closes the interior baffle which then brings the oven up to temp

10281222243_c69180e1c7_c.jpg

thinking about throwing a pizza stone in there
