I ordered mine yesterday, they swear it will be here before xmas. it better!

They absolutely killed me on shipping.

sounds about right for shipping.

i expected $70 as said on the website,but then the gal said "and we charge 12% of the price for shipping"

WTF?!?!?

i do alot of shopping online and i have never heard of such an arrangement.

oh well, its on the way and MrsMedic will love it and bake me delicious cakes & pizzas & pies!

as of yesterday, theu still had 2 more ready for shipping if anyone else is looking. took me 2 days to get an answer to the question "do you ACTUALLY have one that you can ship to me", i was a little jumpy after your experiance in ordering one. had it shipped to a buddies house cause I just couldn't figure out a way to hide a giant steel box for a month.

one of em. I showed her the thread when you posted it and she absolutely loved the thing. so i IMMEDIATELY told her that we couldn't afford it this year, we have other priorities, yada yada yada.... and then asked you a bunch of questions to ease my mind and decided to buy one for her ONLY if i could get it under the tree. otherwise it was going to have to wait til her birthday. she REALLY REALLY wants this thing, really likes the fact that with this and our wood stove we could cook normally. and the idea of acting like a heat sink was enough to sell me as well because one of the things on our never ending "list" was a slightly bigger wood stove.

She is getting harder and harder to shop for, lol.
