I have two of them. I've become a water snob! I think every home should have one! I'm going on four years now and I filter rain water.

ill take some pictures when I get home.

there are some issues. Unfortunately the guys that helped me put it in didn't want to listen to me and it doesn't have a filtering system. I'm hoping to remedy that situation.

basically it is a 1500 gal tank set into the ground at an angle so that any bits will sink to the bottom (The guys thought that would be better than filtering!)

i have a fairly large roof so one good rain will fill it.

it is not off the grid.

i have a sump pump attached to a garden hose to bring it into the house.

my goal this summer is to get a torpedo pump and tie it into the plumbing so that I can just turn on the tap, have hot and cold running water again!
