I was going through my flickr account and came across a bunch of stuff that I have posted over the years, figured I would post them all in one thread
a quick fence
A easy vertical garden
using clay pots as well
how we split wood with a tire
Use compacted crush stone for walkways, it's cheap, looks good and alerts you when people are walking on it
Use tires for potatoes
For expensive fruits dehydrate canned product
For cheap fruits dehydrate fresh in bulk
Use pvc for cheap greenhouses
Use old windowpanes to make cheap tire cold frames
you can overwinter vegetables
Firewood works great for holding down plastic and agribon
And for filling raised beds for water retention
Pit greenhouses can work
Unless you have a high water table like us
So drill some holes in trash cans and fill the hole back in and make little wells

String is cheap for raised bed dividers
Pallets make cheap composting areas
PVC makes seedling starting easy
Planting strawberries around boulders that retain heat gives you a good month ahead of the competition

A wooden dowel works great as their first perch
Spend 30 minutes a day minimum bonding with your animals, it is beneficial for both of you
Grade stakes and string make quick and cheap trellises for raised beds
A juicer is the fastest way to make fruit wines

vacuum sealing wine is the easiest method
propane tanks make great little stoves
buy dry goods in bulk and vacuum seal them in mason jars for family size portions and save money
milk crates make great nesting spots
christmas tree storage totes make great cheap cold frames
Aluminum beer cans make cheap diversion safes

sections of PVC work great for laying out raised beds and weeding
Butter is easy to make in canning jars
Stop and watch the wildlife every now and then
Even if they are strawberry stealing thieves!
Dehydrate and vacuum seal strawberries instead of making jam or freezing so the chipmunks don't get them
sand and buckets make a cheap root cellar
Make sure to ask for any hand rolls of half dollars at the bank, you will never know what you can find
Make you own greek yogurt in the crockpot, save a ton of money

Chickens are more than happy to start clearing the garden
Don't be afraid to introduce your animals
if you free range your birds, keep an eye out for their hiding spots

Don't be afraid to free range all your birds
They can become best buds

If you want meat chickens then get a meat breed not a dual purpose, RIR on left, Cornish Cross on right

Chickens do not need a heat lamp in the winter
Just protection from the wind
plant extra carrots for dog treats
Start all birds in the home so the dogs know they are part of the family unit
A piece of chain link fence works good for smoothing out rough spots in the lawn
Don't waste money on hydro-seeding, one good rain can wash it all away
If you get ducks, be prepared for freeloaders to show up

Cheap retaining wall blocks make an easy and mobile fire pit
Even threats of violence does not deter the freeloaders
If you want a meatier turkey, raise a White, the Bronze does not put on meat as well
If you have a sick chicken, this is totally normal to have a chicken eating out of the dogs bowl
Which if you socialized them when they were young, then this is perfectly normal
