Yesterday was...interesting. It just kept raining and the water kept coming and coming, higher and higher. We almost had to turn all the cows out loose to keep them safe. We were trapped by the water for the entire day. The water is down now but the Elk River is still coming up! Haven't had water this high in a lot of years. The biggest creek here normally is under a foot deep...it was at least 10 ft deep last night. Lost power for about 16 hours...Going out to look around and will post pics later if theres anything worthwhile to see!
This round is over, but something else rolls in either tonight or tomorrow. Only now the temp is in the 20's so maybe some of this mud will freeze dry, lol. I would take snow over mud and flood every time. We took a drive to the little one horse town we shop at while ago. Heres a couple pics of the river after it crested...
