Let's just say that the marshmallows were well done.
I was doing a road trip with my girlfriend & KVR showed me some awesome hospitality last week. Let me say that the place is probably more impressive in person than in pictures, and that he and the wife are great and totally awesome to hang out with. I'll be on these boards a lot more in the future contributing some of the stuff that I've got stashed away (and now that I'm home with a computer to do it on.)
Honestly, my girlfriend was pretty skeptical about going to meet somebody that I've never met before. When we were headed out of the parking lot, she said to me "thank you for setting this up, I really enjoyed it." She's been a bit skeptical about a lot of ideas I've had, but something seemed to click when she met KVR and the family, and saw the homestead. She's been 100% more open to talking about things of this nature since then.
Thank you KVR for the awesome time, dinner and conversation. I'll get that stuff on Kiln building posted, and some of the wilderness medicine stuff up this week

We had a great trip. Ended up in Bar Harbor that night & hiked Acadia for a few days before straight lining it back to PA, then on a plane for me over the weekend. Still recovering from vacation at work....haha
Found all of the great happy hours in BH. 1lb of peel & eat shrimp for $3 bucks at the Fish Cafe on the pier was our favorite. Going there pre-season has it's financial advantages for sure. Locals were telling us that prices double for almost everything starting Memorial Day.
