Hello,

I am a senior at Warren Wilson College in North Carolina and am working on my thesis project, a 25-40 page paper focused on one particular subject. I am working on a study of back-to-the-lander women who were homesteading in Appalachia in the 1960s and 1970s.

I am looking specifically at how back-to-the-landers in the region went about performing domestic gender roles and how they interacted with locals. The questions will be focussed on that. However, I am looking to get surveys from women who were living in intentional communities as well as individual family homesteads in Appalachia during one of those two decades. I don't know if you have a newsletter you would be able to send this out to or if you would be able to post this on your Facebook page, but I would really appreciate any help I could get!
