that is pretty much spot on. nice find kvr. I just get rid of the typical female role. I think that can be flexible with both man and women in todays world.

Really good read. The concept of a "household economy" is something I had never really thought about in those words before. It's really just another way of saying self sufficient, but I think it has a much better sound and really defines what the true meaning of both terms is. I like it!

I really I joyed this article. It expresses my ideal. All I ever wanted was to be a "farm wife" as I call it. I was lucky enough to have been raised by a traditional mom who, cooked, made our cloths, and grandparents who were subsistence farmers and had a stall at the local market. Although I was not taught some of the skills, I was taught the lifestyle. I sometimes am hard on myself because I am not as far along as I would like to be, but when I objectively look at my life, and see me how some others see me, I'm pretty close to my farm wife dream.
