About the Show

The Pioneers is a social experiment that follows four couples for three months as they trade in their 21st-century comforts for covered wagons, campfires, and the harsh reality of life on the American prairie.

Anyone watch this?  I caught a few episodes.  It seemed to be relatively free of the "manufactured drama" so prevailaent in reality shows.  But, wow, what a train wreck!

Brutal.  They ended up having to quit after they burnt their teepees to the ground.  This was after they got flooded out and lost their previous settlement.  Oh, and about the only food they had left were eggs from their chickens, and coyotes were eating their chickens.
