There's a dirt road that cuts back through the woods behind us, I had always thought our property went right to the dirt road, well when my BIL and I were clearing the path, we pulled out our survey and the tax maps to make sure we didn't go outside our property lines, when we noticed this 5 acre lot between us and the road, so we drove down the dirt road and walked the property some, it is wet in some places, but has some dry areas as well. I thought it would be a good idea to have and could also be a back up plan for our daughter down the road, if we wanted we could build her a cabin on that lot and then have a 4 wheeler trail connecting both the properties. I went to the town office today and found out a woman from 2 hours away owns it, I think I'm going to call her tomorrow and see if she would be interested in selling it. Will be interesting to see what she says.

well I called and talked to the husband and he seemed to have no clue what I was talking about, I think I finally got him to realize where the property was and he said he wasn't sure if his wife was interested but would give her the message, still haven't heard back, but I did go back and walk the land some more and it is very wet, I don't see how it would be buildable

one thing I noticed is the property below is filling in the land behind them which is also basically swampland, and they are pushing water onto everyone elses land, I need to go talk to the code enforcement and see who the heck approved of that
