Anyone want to build a mini backhoe for their tractor?

http://weldingweb.co.....le-Backhoe

He got the idea from here

http://www.thegreens.....index.html

seems we should be able to tap into the hydraulics for our machines and bypass a lot of the cost and build.

That thing is so small! HF sells a portable backhoe. May be a better option, but more $.

The kids love the ATV -- I love it more. I like being able to move around the property quickly... something I can't do with a tractor.

It is a handy tool to have around.

I have seen the one at HF, but since I have a full Metal shop now, I might just make one after I get some more experience.

holy crap, I should have bought a bigger tractor, just heard from my accountant that since we use it for the business as well she is going to depreciate 50 percent of the costs

Rinkus texted me yesterday and asked if I was looking for a bigger tractor, seems a friend of his is selling one.

Since my accountant is letting me depreciate half of the tractor it would cost us about the same as what we have in for the Kubota, how do I convince my wife that this makes sense?

That's a large and strong tractor. Looks like it was set up for skidding logs and hauling them out of the woods. Think you will use the hydraulic thumb and the log skidder that are included? If not it I would look for something else as that really bumps up the price. You can get a 32+ hp Kubota without those extra add ons that will be a huge upgrade for ~$16k or so. Having too big of a tractor and extra implements can be a problem if you don't have a place to store them.

it would help a lot with clearing out the trees for the road out into the woods, will have to do more research
