Driving around yesterday scouting for land/checking out different areas....
Noticed this and had to take a picture for you goons.
This is way out in the Kountry.

it looks like a quonset hut, it should have the strength for earth sheltering, but rusting would be a concern, I would follow up with them, there has been some great houses built out of these, with a very open feel inside

I see a lot of those types of structures here in the south. Mostly used for garages or hay storage. Never seen one being buried.

Good point.
I guess it is on my mind because it has been dug out.
Additionally, a pal's father buried one of these huts into the side of a hill/mountain.
Covered it with just enough "Earth."
Apparently the place usually stays around 70 degrees.

Surprised this thread is not exploding.
Ok my commitment to the forum, I will get pics in the future so we can see what this place becomes.
However, there are a ton of "keep out" "no trespassing" signs of all nature around this place, but I will do these things for you folks.
