recently pulled out my savage 887 22lr. got it from my grandad for xmas when i was 10 & have been dragging it wherever i have lived for the last 32 years. probably hadnt

shot it in 10 years. when my grandad died i found a little 4x15 scope in his stuff. wouldnt have fit anything he owned, so i gotta figure he bought it for me when i was a kid & never gave it to me. been lugging that thing around for 23 years in my "random gun stuff" box but never mounted it. safety checked the gun & mounted the scope. 10 minutes to zero..... still shoots great! dunno if ill leave the scope mounted, but it was fun to dust the gun off & finally set the scope up. made me think alot about the old man. ot was a good day.

recently bought a GSG 522SD for the housekeeper for xmas. its her first gun. totally useless & funner than shit to shoot! doesnt like certain brands of ammo, but this turned to be a benefit as well because it gave me a chance to walk her thru ftf/fte/clearing drills. good review at thetruthaboutguns.
