I would go with the p95, but I have heard good things about the bersa

Those P-series guns are huge, bulky, tanks. I would not think of it as a carry gun.

I have a P97, it and the P95 are polymer frame guns and not as bulky as the P89 or P90. They are larger than I'd like for a concealed carry gun, but the polymer frame models are not as clunky as the earlier versions were. Not to mention it is a smooth shooting gun. If it only held more rounds per mag, I would consider carrying it on duty, but 17 rounds per magazine > 8 rounds per magazine...

So for someone that owns no handguns and wants one that will be:

1. Easy to lean how to shoot

2. Fun and accurate at the range

3. Good for home defense/SHTF situation

Does a Bersa Thunder from the list work for this requirements? Looks like a good inexp gun. If not what else would you recommend?

Ruger SR9

I hear good things about Bersa, never shot one though.

Kahr makes a nice gun.
