Oh snap, that's awesome! I have been trying to figure out a way to mount my rifles on a wall and have them accessible -- but covered up (wife's requirement). This looks a whole lot easier than cutting into the drywall!

EDIT: I talked to my wife and she is cool with my building this -- if I make a latching mechanism to keep it closed from kids trying to lift the picture. Easy enough -- need to add it to the honey-do list!

Thanks for the heads up. I really like the one in your original post because I think I can fit 3 long guns under a similar sized picture. I have asked my wife to pick a picture -- I like the American flag, or a retro version of it, but she has a different idea.

well, people will not want to steal the picture and see what is behind it in that case
