well there you have it, I don't think I will be selling

(Reuters) - Vice President Joe Biden said on Wednesday the White House is determined to act quickly to curb gun violence and will explore all avenues - including executive orders that would not require approval by Congress - to try to prevent incidents like last month's massacre at a Connecticut school.

Kicking off a series of meetings on gun violence, Biden said the administration would work with gun-control advocates and gun-rights supporters to build a consensus on restrictions. But he made clear that President Barack Obama is prepared to act on his own if necessary.

This is very vague. What specifically does he mean? Without saying that all I hear is him puffing his chest.

seems to me he is clear, executive orders are being considered for gun control, which I personally think is the only way they can do it with the republicans controlling the house, we shall see

This is all being fed by emotion. When you legislate this way nothing good will come from it. I'm betting Magazines will be limited to ten rds, which is a joke because anyone that shoots enough can drop a mag and reload without missing a beat. Also "assault weapons" will have some type of banning. I wouldn't be to concerned about this as well because they did it in the 90's so manufacturers just changed a few things to get around the ban like flash suppressors.

The one that really concerns me is banning any semi-auto rifle/long gun. If that happens we are in trouble until SCOTUS weighs in and with Roberts going off the farm over Obamacare who knows how they would rule.

Anyone who voted for Obama knew he would go for guns and raise taxes to afford his spending habit. Shoulda voted for Ron Paul.

No matter who is President, events like what happened in CT are going to create this same scenario. Mitt Romney would be doing just about the same thing I bet.

I don't believe that, I am not a fan of Romeny either, but I really don't believe he would react the same as a chicago democrat
