These are just like surplus M44's but from what I hear they are all more used. E.g. more damage to stocks, loss of bluing, etc. I think they are all shooters but from the pictures I have seen and the disclaimers provided they look like they were ridden hard and put away wet.

EDIT: That being said, I do wish I had the money for one and a few cases of ammo, too.

I was at the gun shop yesterday and they had a couple mosins sitting there for the same price, I didn't catch what models they were though, they were not the carbines though
