Happened at the walmart in Augusta, funny most news reports don't mention them or only have a one sentence blurb on them, this crap is getting too close to home.

Around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to reports of shots being fired in the parking lot of the Walmart on Civic Center Drive. After responding, Augusta PD along with assistance from State Police, the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office, Hallowell PD, Winthrop PD and Capitol police located four people suspected of being involved.

Police said the suspects involved were sitting in vehicles parked next to each other when an altercation arose. The occupants of one vehicle fired at the occupants of the other, which resulted in a return in gunfire.

When the shooting stopped, police said one suspect exited their vehicle to confront the occupants of the other vehicle. This is when two bystanders who had watched the altercation unfold interfered and stopped the incident, police said.

AUGUSTA — Four people were arrested Sunday after an incident in which two of them fired guns during a dispute outside Wal-Mart, and police armed with rifles surrounded the woods south of the University of Maine at Augusta in search of a possible fifth suspect.

In a media briefing Sunday evening, Augusta police Sgt. Christian Behr said shooting broke out between people in two vehicles at the Wal-Mart parking lot. After the shooting, one suspect emerged from one car and confronted people in the other car. The altercation was interrupted by two armed civilians.
