The issue is implementation. Who gets to decide if you're mentally unfit to own a firearm? Is it going to be like California where all someone has to do is call you in and they'll confiscate your guns "for your own safety"?
I agree mental health is an issue, but if it's anything like the ATF regulations and guidelines on manufacturing, it will be so open to interpretation that no one will know for sure. (By the way, the new exec. order gives the ATF the freedom to interpret the rules as they see fit, regarding selling for profit etc.)

That's my concern, does it actually get used for that or just get absorbed into budgets?
