Dicks doesnt surprise me. They are the big company with the footballs, shoes, and fishing poles to sell along with firearms. So they are playing the PR game. For now.
But CTD? Bad move on their part. This will hurt their sales. Id be looking for AIM, Buds, etc, to pick up the slack.

In talking to Moro just now, I thought, if Dicks really wanted to do something that meant anything, they would donate large sums of money to the families, to the school, and to firearm safety courses across the nation and specifically in CT.
But no. Its just PR posturing in the end.

To make a long story short, someone I know does legal work for Beretta and NRA. (don't ask, I don't know ANY details). Well the firm or company he works for/with has told him to drop both Beretta ad NRA as clients. This is turning into a real Witch hunt against guns.
Here in MD, a CCW permit is VERY difficult to obtain. Some politicians were on the news the other day saying they're going to review the guidelines, and make them harder to get, require training courses, and limit where they can be carried, such as libraries, etc. The thing that made my head explode was when he said "AND BY NO MEANS WILL THEY BE ALLOWED IN SCHOOLS!!" Yeah, god forbid you have a law abiding citizen, trained in the use of firearms, carrying a firearm in the event of a tragedy. I can't believe no one is latching onto the fact that 6 staff members were killed in CT, and if one or more of them had been armed this tradedy could have possibly been prevented or decreased. They're coming for the guns. Mark my words.
