You wouldnt need any accessories. The Mossberg you can find it where it comes with the rifled barrel, get that one. Then shoot 3" slugs.

Remington 870 or Mossberg 500.

Those are the two that fit your budget and will last you your entire life. Both are tried and true. I have the Remington.

I have a Mossberg 500. Ive never gone hunting but I have destroyed many paper targets with it. I got it for 420, and its fun to shoot. I dont know if all shot guns can shoot 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells but mine can. And the 3 inch shells would probably be better killing that guys deer. Hope that helped.

Vapor has hit the correct. You cannot go wrong with a Moss 500 or the Rem 870.

You can get either with some accessories for under 500.

I have the Remington also.

i have a remington 870 super magnum. I have never used it for deer though, only water fowl.

You can buy it in different configurations (riffled with scope mount, etc.). They also have combos, where you buy it with 2 canons.

What accessories would I need for hunting deer with the 870 or the 500?
