Not to mention brush, trees, branches, and whats potentially behind the target. The elevation from where you are to where the deer is standing. A target is straight out stapled down and sure, you can hit a 100 yds out if you are good. But hunting that will almost never be the case. I wouldnt even take a shot over 50 yards.

a sturgeon? wtf?

It was already dead lol. Sturgeon fishing gets boring bro. I saw a dead one on the shore so i shot it...Who wouldn't?

When fishing gets slow shotguns are always welcomed.

Especially when there are dead animals to blast.

Vapor, I'm a combat veteran. I dont think nerves will be an issue. What might make the shot tough for me will be worrying that the deer Im about to shoot is a distraction for an ambush from a rogue squad of deer that I dont see. Plus, I've hunted a bunch as a kid but since I joined the military 12 years ago I havent hunted and I've never hunted with a shotgun which is why I dont know much about them.

You are probably right. There is still the terrain to contend with though. Also the issue of it not dropping dead right there.

Massafuckingsucksachusetts only allows shotguns for deer. Sucks balls. I would much prefer to use a rifle.
