This reminded me of those hidden safes that look like an electrical outlet. I saw one at a flea market a few months ago but the wife thought I was crazy for wanting to get it. The one I seen was about twice as long as a standard outlet box. The only thing I would worry about the outlet box ones is that whatever is in there would be lost with a house fire. Would probably work for physical gold/silver though.

well, let's say your are upstairs pleasing miss naderhood and the kids are downstairs playing in the living room. If you want to make sure that the kids will not come upstairs and bother you during your business, you just raise the stairs and they have no way of going up.
