DES MOINES, Iowa —A Des Moines police officer reported that he accidentally fired his service weapon inside the Des Moines Airport Wednesday.

The incident was reported about 5 p.m. at 5800 Fleur Drive.

Officer Brady Pratt, 23, of Des Moines, said he was standing near fridge, facing the west wall when he drew his duty weapon from his holster to practice his "quick draw" skills, according to a police report.
