"Pulled the trigger" on one today

http://www.atlanticf.....l?Itemid=0

Roller block action, 7.62x39, accepts AK magazines. Primary Arms makes a round specific 1-6 scope for it with their ACSS reticle that I am pretty sure is going on it once they get them back into production.

I have a feeling as the presidents term rolls to an end that we may see some strangeness again. Other than a 50 (for exactly zero justifiable reason) this is pretty much one of the last "scary" rifles I have been interested in getting. And a box full of magazines 🙂

Should be here in a week or so

Shipped yesterday, should have it by Weds.

Apparently the recommended break in period is excessive, so I won't have much to say about it for a little bit. 200 rds, clean after every 5.

Its actually the one he uses in that video.

Its a very interesting piece of glass. I guess they had issues with the first run.... The gen 2 ones seem like the ticket. But not in stock and I haven't had a response yet to my email I sent a few days ago.

They make a fixed 4 power that looks cool, but I really like that 1-6 with the crazy reticle, its something I really want to try out on a legit platform like the PTR. If I can pie plate at 400+ with 7.62x39 and basically have a CQB red dot in the same scope/rifle combo I think this could be something special.

This is a longer look at that optic. Its not enthralling, but at around the 4 minute mark he starts to explain how the drop, ranging, windage, and running/walking/prone target functions work with that reticle its stops looking so busy and starts looking pretty damn simple and useful.

They make them for 223 as well, you AR guys should check them out, I've heard good things.

And I really like that its etched. You dont need the illumination at all, not battery dependent (just battery enhanced). Something to think about and why I'm not a fancy tactical optic guy. Usually.....
