Ruger 10/22: The Everymans Rifle | Homestead Security | Forums

After doing some additional reading on my .22 purchase I think I will grab one of these instead of a Savage. I want something with open sights so I can learn to shoot properly and I think the savage bolt action would be better suited for a scope.

Since this will be a practice/plinking rifle I think the 10/22 will do just fine.

Waiting for my license to arrive in the mail is killing me...

Couple weeks in the mail. Just got it today when I got home!

Also just found out you guys are buying ALL the guys. Getting a 10/22 may be much harder than I thought. One shop said maybe in Feb they may have some. I have an online retailer that has them in stock right now, so I will check out one more local shop tomorrow am and if not I will pull the trigger for the online store and hope they still have some left by tomorrow.

I picked up a Savage MKII on Saturday after seeing the 10/22 out of stock again at the one online shop that had it. After getting laughed at my local the gun shop for asking when they might get more in I figured A 10/22 was not in my immediate future.

Then today I logged into the online shop and saw the 10/22 off back order, so I snatched it up. Two guns in less than a week!
