maybe he should have been a little faster with the kibble! In all seriousness, it's amazing how often this happens.

A Wyoming man has been shot by his dog, police have said.
The injuries suffered by Richard Fipps 46, were not described as life threatening although it is feared he could lose an arm.
According to police in Sheridan County Mr Fipps was outside his pick up truck removing a snow chain when the dog, which was gambolling around in back seat, stepped on a loaded 300 Winchester Magnum.
While the culprit has been identified as the dog – who in this case may not be considered man’s best friend – police suggest there was some contributory negligence.
"Carrying a loaded rifle in a truck is never a good idea, safety on or safety off,” Steve Kozisek, the Johnson County Sheriff said.

Mr Kozisek said it was the first time in his 42-year career in law enforcement that he had ever come across an incident in which a dog has shot a man.

However it appears that this was not the first time that a firearm and canine companion have proved a rather dangerous combination.

In February last year Gregory Lanier, 35, was shot in the thigh while driving his truck after his pet kicked a loaded pistol.

Eli was probably consigned to the doghouse after another unfortunate occurrence.

The bulldog became rather excited and fired a hunting rifle belonging to Billy Brown, shooting his master in the thigh.

In the same year another hunter, this time in Utah, was shot in the buttocks after his dog stepped on a loaded shotgun in his boat.

None of the dogs, as far as it is known, have faced criminal charges.
