Hello from FTIG, PA! | New Member Introduction | Forums

My name is Chris, I am 22 years old, in the Army National Guard, and currently living in base billeting and working as a DOD electronics technician there. (for those not military savvy, I'm staying in a crappy hotel and I am an electrician) It has always been a dream of mine to own and run a farm someday, and that's what I plan on doing! I want to build my own home on land that I buy. My goal is to have the land purchased and cleared, ready for construction by the time I am 25, start construction soon after that. Being in the military, we will see how that time-frame works out

I've looked around the forums on several topics that interested me but if anyone knows specific posts I could search for pertaining to choosing/buying land, and skills I could learn in the meantime (some are obvious, some are not) then please let me know on here or PM me. I realize I have a lot to learn and a long way to go.

I am extremely excited to begin learning and look forward to talking with you all as time goes on!
