Hello, I currently live in Michigan. I regret to admit that I do not have a homestead of my own...yet. However I am interested in this kind of living and am moving towards obtaining a homestead of my own and a more self sufficient life. Until then I think that I have some interesting things that I can contribute to this community and I look forward to getting to know the members of this forum.

I live in Michigan. A simpler way of life has always interested me. I have been drawn to the outdoors and nature ever since I was a kid, now as a young man I am pursuing this lifestyle because it is the path that I have concluded is the "right way" to live. Being a DIY person I am really intrigued by homesteading and I also have a great respect for how our ancestors lived, I wish to do the same.

Nice. I have never been there. I really haven't done much traveling except for the states near Michigan and I spent some time in Arizona a while ago. Going camping in Colorado this summer though!
